Day 1 – Arrival | Airport → Pinnawala → Dambulla → Sigiriya

Meet and greet at Bandaranaike International Airport and begin your journey through Sri Lanka.

  • Travel to Pinnawala – approximately 90 km / 2.5–3 hours

  • Visit an elephant experience centre, where you may have the opportunity to observe, feed and interact with elephants. Activities are subject to the centre's animal-welfare practices and availability.

  • Continue to Dambulla – approximately 65 km / 1.5–2 hours

  • Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Continue to Sigiriya – approximately 20 km / 30 minutes

Overnight: Sigiriya

Day 2 – Sigiriya & Village Experience

Experience the cultural and natural beauty surrounding Sigiriya.

  • Early-morning visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress – approximately 3–4 hours

  • Traditional village experience by bullock cart

  • Scenic catamaran or canoe ride

  • Experience a traditional Sri Lankan village environment

Day 3 – Sigiriya → Matale → Kandy

Travel through the central region towards the cultural capital of Sri Lanka.

  • Travel from Sigiriya to Kandy – approximately 90 km / 3 hours, excluding sightseeing stops

  • Visit Sri Muthumariamman Temple in Matale

  • Visit a traditional spice garden and learn about Sri Lanka's famous spices and medicinal plants

  • Continue to Kandy

  • Explore Kandy city

  • Enjoy a Kandyan cultural dance performance

Day 4 – Explore Kandy

Discover the cultural heart of Sri Lanka.

Day 5 – Kandy → Nuwara Eliya

Travel into Sri Lanka's beautiful hill country, surrounded by tea plantations and waterfalls.

  • Drive from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya – approximately 80 km / 3–3.5 hours, excluding stops

  • Scenic stop at Ramboda Falls

  • Visit a tea plantation and tea factory

  • Learn about Sri Lanka's tea production and enjoy a tea-tasting experience

  • Visit Victoria Park

  • Explore Gregory Lake and its surroundings

  • Enjoy the cool climate and colonial atmosphere of Nuwara Eliya

Overnight: Nuwara Eliya

Day 6 – Nuwara Eliya → Ella

Travel through the spectacular central highlands towards Ella.

  • Scenic train journey from Nanu Oya to Ella, subject to train availability and timetable

  • Enjoy one of Sri Lanka's most scenic railway journeys through tea plantations, mountains and valleys

  • Visit Nine Arch Bridge

  • Visit Little Adam's Peak

  • Visit Ravana Cave

Overnight: Ella

Day 7 – Ella → South Coast → Mirissa

Leave the mountains behind and travel towards Sri Lanka's tropical southern coast.

  • Visit Ravana Falls

  • Continue towards the south coast – approximately 120 km / 3.5–4 hours, depending on the route and stops

  • Stop at Hiriketiya Beach

  • Optional visit to a scenic waterfall or swimming spot, depending on weather and local conditions

  • Continue to Mirissa

  • Relax and enjoy the coastal atmosphere

Overnight: Mirissa

Day 8 – Mirissa & Whale Watching

Enjoy a day centred around the beautiful southern coastline.

Day 9 – Mirissa → Koggala → Galle → Balapitiya → Bentota

Explore the heritage and coastal beauty of southern Sri Lanka.

  • Travel to Koggala – approximately 25 km / 40 minutes

  • Experience traditional stilt fishing, subject to local availability and conditions

  • Visit a turtle conservation centre, where appropriate and where activities comply with local animal-welfare practices

  • Visit Jungle Beach

  • Continue to Galle

  • Explore the historic Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

  • Continue towards Balapitiya

  • Continue to Bentota

Overnight: Bentota

Day 10 – Bentota → Colombo → Airport
