Day 1 —Katunayake → Neluwa

Begin yourSri Lankan adventure from Bandaranaike International Airport and travel towardsthe lush southern countryside.

  • Scenic drive through rural landscapes and traditional villages.
  • Arrive in Neluwa and enjoy lunch.
  • Explore the Sinharaja Rainforest through the Neluwa entrance.
  • Enjoy a guided walk through the lush tropical rainforest.

Day 2 —Neluwa → Lankagama → Yala

Continueyour journey through the beautiful rural landscapes surrounding Sinharaja.

  • Travel to Lankagama, a scenic village surrounded by rainforest.
  • Explore the area's beautiful waterfalls, including Thattu Ella and Duwili Ella, depending on local conditions.

Day 3 — YalaWildlife Safari → Kirinda → Udawalawe

ExperienceSri Lanka's incredible wildlife and southern landscapes.

  • Set out on an early-morning Yala National Park safari.
  • Look out for Sri Lankan elephants, leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles and a wide variety of birdlife.
  • Return to your accommodation for breakfast and some time to relax.
  • Visit Kirinda, a historic coastal area with beautiful views of the Indian Ocean.
  • Continue towards Udawalawe.

Day 4 —Udawalawe → Ella

Leave thewildlife region behind and travel into Sri Lanka's spectacular hill country.

  • Visit the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home, subject to visiting times and operational conditions.

Day 5 — Ella→ Nanu Oya → Nuwara Eliya by Scenic Train
